A project by daily services with Angélica Chio.

daily bags is an artistic, goods packing action presented in supermarkets in various cities (Mexico city, Berlin, New York, Kyoto, Paris and Sevilla).

It was presented 2002 at the MexartFest »Mexican Contemporary art Creation«, Umeda sky Gallery in Osaka, »analog & Digital«, Kyoto art Center in Kyoto and »The process is the meaning«, Prinz the Gallery, in Kyoto, Japan, as well as at UNIA Sevilla and Instant City, Instituto de México, Paris.

During the action daily services offers to pack the clients' goods in special bags at the cashier's desk. The bags are printed with recent photographs of daily life in another city.

By carrying their goods home, the shoppers effectively create an image exchange, displaying pictures of other cities as they walk through the streets of their own.

daily bags is conceived and performed by the artists team daily services, composed by the visual artists Angélica Chio and María Linares.

Auf diese Weise nehmen die Supermarktkunden an einem Bilder-Austausch teil, denn mit ihrem Einkauf tragen sie zugleich Bilder einer anderen Stadt durch die eigene.

Durante la acción daily services ofrece en las cajas de cobro empacar a los clientes sus mercancías en bolsas de plástico especiales.

Las bolsas llevan impresas fotografías recientes de la vida pública cotidiana de otra ciudad. Al llevar sus mercancías a casa los clientes del supermercado hacen posible un intercambio de imágenes, transportando en su ciudad imágenes de otras ciudades.
