From February 19 to 26, 2012, the »Citizen Art Days pilot« project took place in Berlin’s public space and the Freies Museum Berlin. Citizen Art Days (CAD) provides a platform that brings citizens, artists and urban actors together in order to address specific common problems using artistic strategies.

In the main program of the Citizen Art Days 2012 in February the English artist and founder of the "University of Trees", Shelley Sacks, carried out 9 »Earth Forum« workshops over a five-day period. Here, the necessity for a rethinking of our approach to the earth was the core of the artistic form. At the closing weekend participants of the Earth Forums could take part in a training course to be able to carry out Earth Forums by themselves in the future.
The Spanish cultural producer group Platoniq was setting new impulses in the area of own-project funding in its "crowdfunding the commons" workshop, accentuating a difference between crowfunding and "crowcapitalism".
Berlin artists Dellbrügge & de Moll deployed artistic strategies to help extend the sphere of influence of Berlin street and homeless magazine vendors in their "voice over" workshop.

Von 19. – 26. Februar 2012 fand im öffentlichen Raum sowie im Freien Museum Berlin unser von der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung gefördertes Pilotprojekt Citizen Art Days statt. Die Citizen Art Days bieten eine künstlerische Plattform, die Bürger, Künstler und Stadtakteure zusammenbringt, um spezifische, gemeinsame Probleme anhand künstlerischer Strategien zu lösen.

Eine besondere Rolle haben die »Earth Foren« von Shelley Sacks gespielt. Es fanden während der Woche täglich zwei Foren statt. An dem Abschlusswochenende hatten Interessierte, die bereits an einem Forum teilgenommen hatten, die Möglichkeit, sich in einem Training ausbilden zu lassen, um selbst »Earth Foren« zu initiieren.
Stadtexkursion mit creative-sustainability-tours (id22)Ebenfalls zum Feld der Nachhaltigkeit gehörten die Stadtexkursionen von id22. Die Creative Sustainability Tours erkundeten zwei Berliner Gebiete, die zurzeit einen tiefgreifenden Wandel erfahren: »Parlament der Bäume – Tiergarten – Gleisdreieck und Anhalter Garten« zum Einen und »Mitte – Kreuzberg – Spreeraum – Mediaspree« zum Anderen.

Del 19 al 26 de Febrero de 2012 tuvo lugar en el Museo Libre de Berlín [Freien Museum Berlin] el proyecto Citizen Art Days, gracias al apoyo de la Asociación Federal para la Educación Cívica de Alemania [Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung]. Los Citizen Art Days ofrecen una plataforma artística que reúne ciudadanos, artistas y actores urbanos para trabajar en conjunto problemas comunes con base en estrategias artísticas.

Los »Earth Forum« de Shelley Sacks, que tuvieron lugar dos veces al día, desempeñaron un papel fundamental. Al final de la semana los participantes interesados tuvieron la posibilidad de asistir a un entrenamiento y adquirir la formación necesaria para poder llevar a cabo este formato ellos mismos en el futuro y devenir así multiplicadores del propósito inicial.
También en el marco de las actividades en torno al tema de sostenibilidad tuvieron lugar las excursiones urbanas de ID22. Los Creative Sustainability Tours exploraron dos íreas de Berlín que actualmente sufren una transformación radical.

Short workshops, presentations and city tours provided by a number of other artists further enriched the Citizen Art Days program. Susanne Bosch and Dragan Miloševski (Belfast) provided creative methods for conflict resolution. Pia Lanzinger, Folke Köbberling, Simone Zaugg and Pfelder as well as the Reinigungsgesellschaft presented, among other things, different methods of participatory action, while the work of Juliane Wedell investigated the "shadow economy" and Stephanie Hanna and her team represented the "Senior Street Art" project. Performance-based art activities were represented by the "ILLEGAL (in German "Black") WORKER" art event of María Linares and the "Superconstellation" work of Stefan Krüskemper and Kerstin Polzin. ID22 provided city excursions on two days. Presentations were held by Niko Paech ("Postgrowth Economy"), Elfriede Müller (on Henri Lefèbvre) and Matthias Böttger (Raumtaktiker) about "We" in the public space. The final podium was moderated by Thorsten Goldberg.

The Citizen Art Days were launched including a Bastelperformance ("Handicraft Performance") by the philosopher Hanno Depner concerning models of thinking and an Ich-kann-nicht-singen ("I can’t sing") choir led by Michael Betzner-Brandt.

Eingeladen waren die spanischen Kulturproduzenten Platoniq den Workshop »Das Gemeingut finanzieren« zum Thema crowdfunding durchzuführen. Platoniq wollte uns nicht »Crowdcapitalism« beibringen und zeigen, wie wir uns mit einer brillanten Idee und der Vorfinanzierung Vieler bereichern können. Die Gruppe konzentrierte sich vielmehr auf die Verdeutlichung der gemeinnützigen Seite kultureller und innovativer Projekte, nämlich ihr Potenzial als Allmendegut, Werkzeuge, Information und Wissen für die Gesellschaft offen bereit zu stellen.
Anschließend trug Niko Paech, Professor für Produktion und Umwelt an der Universität Oldenburg, zur »Postwachstumsökonomie« vor.
Auch der Workshop »Kein Geld oder Kleingeld« von der Berliner Künstlerin Juliane Wedell beschäftigte sich mit dem Thema Ökonomie und führte künstlerische Recherche über verschiedene Aktivitäten aus dem Bereich der Schattenwirtschaft im Raum Berlin-Kreuzberg durch.

Die Berliner Künstler Dellbrügge & de Moll leiteten das Workshop »Voice over«. Die Künstler_innen wollten Verkäufer_innen von Straßenmagazinen eine Stimme geben, die oft ungehört bleibt und marginalisiert wird. Sie boten ein Training an, damit diese Stimme selbstbewusst und kraftvoll über Inhalte wahrgenommen werden kann.

Susanne Bosch und Dragan Miloševski zeigten in dem Workshop »Wenn bloß nicht immer dieser Nerv wäre ... Working with public and people, conflict ist part of life« Techniken der Konfliktlösung auf, die Konflikte im öffentlichen Raum handhabbarer machen können. Ebenfalls auf Konflikte des Miteinanders deutete die Kunstaktion »Schwarzarbeiter« von María Linares; Sebastiaõ, aus Angola, verteilte in ihrem Auftrag Suppe während er ein mit dem Wort »Schwarzarbeiter« sowie Fragmenten aus der Nationalflagge Angolas bedrucktes T-Shirt trug.

Es fanden weitere Vorträge, Kunstaktionen, Lectures und Präsentationen statt, die wir in der Kürze nicht alle nennen können und verweisen auf die Website (Archiv, CAD12).

El grupo de productores culturales Platoniq fue invitado a llevar a cabo el workshop »Financiar el procomún« [Crowdfunding the commons]. Platoniq no está interesado para nada en »Crowdcapitalism« o cómo alguien se puede enriquecer con una brillante idea y la prefinanciación de contribuidores en internet. El grupo se concentra en el aspecto no lucrativo de proyectos culturales y de innovación, es decir, en su potencial comunitario ofreciendo herramientas, información y conocimiento para todos.
Niko Paech, profesor de producción y medio ambiente de la Universidad de Oldenburg dió una conferencia sobre economía de decrecimiento, un sistema económico según el cual el suministro de las necesidades ciudadanas no está determinado por el principio de crecimiento, sino que se caracteriza por reembolsos y decrecimiento.

También el workshop »sin plata o limosnas« [Kein Geld oder Kleingeld] se concentró en temas económicos llevando a cabo una investigación sobre diferentes manifestaciones de economía informal en el barrio Kreuzberg de Berlín.

Uno de los proyectos de los Citizen Art Days que se centró principalmente en momentos de interacción y convivencia fue el Workshop de Dellbrügge y de Moll »Voice Over«. Los artistas querían darle a personas sin techo que venden el periódico de los sin techo, quienes por lo general pasan desapercibidos y permanecen marginados, la oportunidad de entrenar la voz para ser oídos. Ofrecieron un Training para que su voz pudiera transmitir los contenidos del periódico fuerte y segura de si misma.

Susanne Bosch y Dragan Miloš̌evski dieron a conocer en el workshop »Si no hubiera siempre líos... Working with public and people, conflict ist part of life« técnicas de la solución de conflictos, con las cuales los problemas en el espacio público pueden ser asumidos más adecuadamente. También concentrada en los problemas de convivencia se llevó a cabo la acción »SCHWARZARBEITER« [trabajador ilegal/ en alemán "negro"] de María Linares.
