Citizen Art Days (CAD) provides a platform that brings citizens, artists and urban actors together in order to address specific common problems using artistic strategies.
On May 2012 the Citizen Art Days were presented during the 12. Bundeskongresses Politische Bildung »Zeitalter der Partizipation« (12th Federal Congress of Political Education "Age of Participation"), taking place in the public space, at the central Berlin's square Alexanderplatz.
Six Earth Forum participants, who joined the training sessions in February, were able to lead three parallel outdoor Earth Forums (a project by Shelley Sacks). Karsten Michael Drohsel provided a city excursion in the footsteps of Flanerie, following the example of Walter Benjamin and Franz Hessel. Further short workshops by Juliane Wedell on shadow economy, Stephanie Hanna on senior street art, Superconstellation on partaking and parting and María Linares on legal/illegal complete the program. Michael Betzner-Brandt closes the CAD – Spot leading an Ich-kann-nicht-singen ("I can’t sing") choir in cooperation with Salam Yousry, Head of the Cairo complaint choir.
Mit dem Format der Citizen Art Days (CAD) erprobt die Berliner Künstlergruppe Parallele Welten neue Beteiligungsformen für und mit der Gesellschaft. Im Fokus stehen dabei die kreativen Potentiale von Bürgern, Stadtakteuren und Künstlern zur Formung des gemeinsamen Öffentlichen.
Im Rahmen des Bundeskongresses politische Bildung 2012 »Zeitalter der Partizipation« stellen sich die Citizen Art Days als Spot auf dem Alexanderplatz mit kurzen Beiträgen vor.
Con el formato de los Citizen Art Days el grupo de artistas Parallele Welten explora formas de participación de y para la sociedad. La investigación se centra en el potencial creativo de ciudadanos, actores urbanos y artistas para darle forma al procomún.
En Mayo de 2012, en el marco del 12° Congreso Federal de Educación Política »La Era de la Participación« los Citizen Art Days se presentan en el espacio público en Berlín, Alexanderplatz.
